Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a natural part of our everyday life and modern technology. We use AI while searching on the internet, watching movies and videos online, using mobile applications, talking to virtual assistants, shopping online and even while receiving healthcare services. This paper explains the basic ideas of artificial intelligence in a simple and easy-to-understand manner so that beginners and students can clearly understand how AI works and why it is important. It introduces the main AI technologies such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing, and explains how computers learn from data, recognize patterns and support human decision-making. The paper also describes common real-world applications of AI in areas like healthcare, education, business, transportation and security. Along with the benefits of AI, this study honestly discusses the challenges and concerns related to its use, including data privacy, bias in algorithms, lack of transparency, technical limitations and the possible impact of automation on jobs. From a student’s point of view, this paper aims to build a clear and practical understanding of artificial intelligence rather than only presenting technical theory. Finally, the paper briefly highlights the future direction of AI research and emphasizes the need for responsible, fair and human-centered AI systems that can support society in a safe and trustworthy way.
